Travel Nurse Job Details

Location : Flagstaff, Arizona 86001

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Contract

Facility : Short Term Acute Care, Teaching Hospital, Level I Trauma Center

Start Date : November 3, 2025

End Date : February 2, 2026

Duration : 13-week travel assignment

Shift : Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (18 : 30 - 07 : 00)

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week (facility may call off up to 6 shifts per 13-week contract)

Weekend Requirement : As needed, typically every 3rd weekend

On-Call : No call required

Scrub Color : Scrubs provided for Operating Room RNs

Charting System : Cerner EMR

Parking : Free parking available

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1800 - $1930 per week

Operating Room RN Qualifications

Current and unrestricted Arizona RN license or valid compact state RN license

Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room Registered Nurse experience

Experience in a Level I trauma center required (Level II trauma experience in a similar or larger facility considered)

BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association required)

Proficient in general, orthopedic, spine, trauma, and neuro (including craniotomy) surgical cases

Charge nurse experience preferred

First-time travel nurses welcome

Ability to float to other units as needed for clinical support

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume operating room environment

Key Responsibilities for OR RN Travel Nurses

Provide safe, high-quality patient care in a Level I trauma operating room with 11 OR suites

Circulate and / or scrub for a wide range of surgical procedures : ortho, trauma, spine, neuro, and general surgery

Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner electronic medical records

Follow facility protocols for patient safety and medication administration

Participate in orientation and ongoing professional development

Support a positive, efficient, and adaptable work environment
