Mental Health Site Supervisor NON-EXE

GENERAL SUMMARY

• The Mental Health Program Supervisor provides evidenced-based treatment and evaluation to children and families. Serves as a resource to mental health staff regarding skill demonstration, promotion of knowledge, and communication with leadership. Responsible for aspects of staff scheduling, oversight of direct reports, and provision of evaluation, program / process improvement, engagement, and innovation. Reports to Manager, Mental Health Therapy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Conducts mental health evaluations, participates in treatment planning including safety, and provides evidenced based therapies to children with mental health conditions and, potentially, co-occurring acute or chronic illness, trauma, or disability.

Ensures that staff follow charting procedures and regulatory requirements, and that all staff assigned act as a cohesive team.

May function in an on-call capacity as necessary to meet the needs of the organization.

LICENSES AND / OR CERTIFICATIONS

Required Licenses and / or Certifications

Current Virginia license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

Preferred Licenses and / or Certifications

Certification and advanced training in any of the following evidenced-based modalities preferred : Parent Child Interaction Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Based Therapy for Anorexia Nervosa, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Required Education and Experience

Graduate of an accredited college or university with a master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Mental Health, or a related field required.

Preferred Education and Experience

Two years of post-license related work experience preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Experience with implementing evidence-based treatments with children and families and Telemedicine based interventions / assessment required.
