The Patient Access Liaison is responsible for providing accessible assistance to eligible patients to ensure patients receive essential medications without financial burden. Their role is to aid patients in obtaining and maintaining any available funding assistance for their treatment. The Patient Access Liaison is responsible for streamlining the process of identifying eligible patients, facilitating efficient distribution of free / low-cost medications, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
Schedule : Monday Friday; 8 : 00 AM 5 : 00 PM.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 2 years of experience in case management or medical billing / account resolution, OR 1 year of experience in infusion services office or pharmacy setting.
- Proficient at partner programs (i.e. : MS Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Ability to cope with ambiguous, changing environment while under pressure in a calm.
- Must be able to work as a team member and develop productive and cooperative working relationships with all members of the Palmetto Infusion team.
Essential Functions
Facilitates the enrollment and re-enrollment of Palmetto Infusion patients in manufacturer patient assistance programs.Communicates with patients to explain available assistance options and educates both patients and staff on application procedures.Ensures patient questionnaires and application forms are fully completed and accurate.Assists with gathering financial hardship documentation for evaluation.Reviews patient orders to ensure compliance with medication ordering requirements.Manages the ordering of initial, maintenance, and bridge doses of medications.Proactively submits renewal orders as they are received.Ensures all necessary documents are current and included in the patient's medical record.Regularly reviews enrolled patients at least 60-90 days prior to their program expiration.Utilizes EMR software exclusively for documenting and communicating patient information.Possesses knowledge of insurance terms, including copay, coinsurance, and deductibles.About the Benefits

Physical Demands

Specific vision abilities required by this job include reading, distance, computer, and color vision. Talking and hearing are essential to communicate with patients, vendors, and staff.All employees must uphold the confidentiality of protected health information and follow all HIPAA policies. This position has access to sensitive information and a breach of information may be grounds for immediate termination.
