Labor & Delivery (L&D) RN | Nights | 36 hrs / week

Unit & Setting

  • Unit : L&D / Postpartum / Mother-Baby (LDRP)
  • Care Setting : Acute Care
  • Trauma Level : Not specified
  • Charting System : Meditech
  • EFM System : GE Centricity
  • Closed Unit (float only in emergency situations)

    • Shift & Schedule

  • Shift : Nights, 18 : 45–07 : 15
  • Shift Length : 12 hours
  • Schedule : Every other weekend (EOW)
  • Holiday Requirement : Per ONA contract
  • Call / Standby : 2× 12-hour call shifts per schedule
  • Scrubs : Provided (Purple)

    • Position Requirements

  • Required Experience : Minimum 2 years L&D
  • Must-Have Skills :

    • Ability to circulate and / or scrub for C-sections

  • RN must read fetal monitoring strips

    • Experience with obstetrical emergencies (HTN, hemorrhage, etc.)

    Certifications & License :

  • BLS, ACLS, STABLE
  • OR License required
  • Can submit with license pending
  • 90-day emergency license available post-offer

  • L&D Beds : 9
  • OR Suites : 1
  • Triage Beds : 2
  • Postpartum Beds : 4
  • Births : 850–900 per year
  • Ratios follow AWHONN guidelines
  • OB Techs on unit
  • OB / Neonatologist : Not in-house 24 / 7
  • Respiratory Equipment : 2 vents, 2 bubble CPAP
  • Telemetry available; RNs read strips

    • Common Drips

  • Pitocin
  • Lactated Ringers
  • Fentanyl
  • Labetalol
