Job Description
A Linda, California based client is seeking an excellent Family Practice Physician to provide care to patients of all ages. An ideal candidate is a versatile and collaborative Physician who values providing equitable care to all populations. This role involves providing continuing, comprehensive wellness, preventative, and medical care to families.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited medical school with a MD or DO degree
- Current CA state medical license
- Completed an accredited residency program
- Current DEA certificate
- Board certified or eligible in primary care
- Current CPR certification
Responsibilities
Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury; Maintaining the patient record in a timely fashionProvide narrative summaries in EMR to communicate patient information to other health care providersOrder, perform, and interpret tests and analyze records, reports, and examination information to diagnose patients' conditionCollect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examination resultsMonitor patients' conditions and progress and reevaluate treatments as necessaryExplain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patientsAdvise patients concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease preventionRefer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessaryCoordinate work with nurses, social workers, rehabilitation therapists, pharmacists, psychologists, and other health care providersDirect and coordinate activities of students, assistants, and other medical staffPlan, implement, or administer health programs or standards in hospitals, businesses, or communities for prevention or treatment of injury or illnessUse masks, gloves and safety glasses to protect themselves and their patients from infectious diseasesWrite prescriptions as indicated for all conditions within their scope of practice.Participate in Peer Chart Review; Act on any directives from the QI / QA Committees, Risk Management Committee, or Board of Directors; Participate in Clinical Outcome Improvement PlanBe responsible for the management of all aspects of his / her patients of PTH within the scope of his / her medical training.Review Minimum Quality Standards for top 100 conditions (See handout)Provide treatment that is consistent with the clinical impressions or working diagnosisProvide continuity of careProvide adequate transfer of information when transferred to and from other health providersProvide patient satisfactionMake health services accessible and availableMonitor patient compliance with treatmentParticipate in Re-credentialing every 2 yearsAbide by all HIPAA and Compliance requirementsParticipate in Student Intern or Job Shadow Programs as applicableProvide emergency services for patients when necessaryPerform other related medical duties as requiredPerform administrative duties as may be required on occasionProvide assistance in writing grants and required reports to HRSA or other government agenciesMaintain and enhance competency through in-services, staff meetings and educational programs.
