Truck Upfitter

As a Truck Upfitter, you are essentially a Truck Modification Engineer and would be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a truck-mounted crane or hoist. They are responsible for rigging and securing loads, operating the crane or hoist, and ensuring that all safety protocols are followed.

Essential Duties :

• Rigging and securing loads onto the truck-mounted crane or hoist
• Operating the crane or hoist to lift and move heavy loads
• Ensuring that all safety protocols are followed, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Maintaining the truck-mounted crane or hoist, including performing routine inspections and maintenance
• Communicating with other team members to ensure that loads are moved safely and efficiently
• Keeping accurate records of all loads moved and any incidents or accidents that occur
• Following all local, state, and federal regulations related to the operation of a truck-mounted crane or hoist

Qualifications :

Work Environment : The employees will be exposed to moving parts and electrical current. Exposed also to grease, chemicals, dust, dirt, and the heat and cold of the outdoors. This position is physically demanding and would require the employee to work in all weather conditions. You would need to have the ability to lift 50+ pounds for extended periods as well as bend, stand, walk, stoop and climb up to 100 feet.
