Job descriptionOversee daily operations of the Labor & Delivery unit, ensuring safe, high-quality care Supervise, support, and mentor nursing staff, fostering a positive team culture Collaborate with OB / GYNs, anesthesiologists, pediatricians, and interdisciplinary teams Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and evidence-based practices Participate in staffing, scheduling, performance evaluations, and budget planning Support patient and family education throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum care Lead quality improvement and patient safety initiatives Active Nevada Registered Nurse (RN) license Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree preferred Minimum of 3-5 years of Labor & Delivery experience , with 1-2 years in a leadership role Current BLS and NRP certifications required (AWHONN Fetal Monitoring preferred) Strong leadership, communication, and clinical decision-making skills Ability to lead in a high-acuity, emotionally sensitive environment Home to top-tier hospitals and a rapidly growing healthcare sector No state income tax and a relatively low cost of living Access to world-class dining, outdoor recreation, and cultural events Family-friendly neighborhoods and highly rated schools Year-round sunshine and proximity to Red Rock Canyon and Lake Mead
