Transportation Manager will manage the delivery and service department and formulate and administer policies programs and procedures for the delivery and service department including schedules rates routes and assignment of drivers and vehicles. Build and maintain positive customer relationships managing all customer service complaints and concerns effectively. Manage / comply with federal state company policies local laws transportation programs and regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Ensure all team members have the necessary tools to complete their jobsConduct training coaching and feedback sessions complete performance appraisals and make recommendations for pay increasesEffectively resolve employee relations issuesBe available to provide support to team membersDevelop plans policies and procedures for the Transportation departmentAttend and participate in annual Leadership & Development training sessionsConduct safety / team / quarterly meetingsPerform other duties as assigned by the Manager and / or DirectorConduct yearly performance appraisals on your drivers and staff.Reporting / Budget :
Prepare annual transportation department budget for DirectorSupply Chain Center review and approvalReview and approve transportation department payrollReview cost statements to identify excessive expenses and make recommendations for cost containmentAudit and approve invoices from the leasing companyManage overall performance of truck leasing company to ensure PMs are met to Dominos standard and repairs are completed timelyGenerate all Transportation related reports including backhauls and the weekly key indicator summaryPlan review and revise driver schedules to ensure increased efficiency and lower costsConduct continuous analysis of vehicle and driver assignments and analyze scheduling for possible consolidationConduct route analysis to identify costsaving opportunitiesConduct route observations to ensure Drivers are performing as requiredMonitor misdeliveries and develop avoidance strategiesMonitor driver hours of service via onboard computerized systemMonitor Drive camera videos for Supply Chain Center complianceReview driver logs and paperworkOversee maintenance of driver qualification fileConduct daily dynamic routingOversee and be prepared for operational and transportation audits throughout the yearConduct route observations to ensure Drivers are safely performing their duties as required by company and DOT standards (The number of observations per period is determined by the number of drivers at the SCC)Customer Service :
Build and maintain positive customer relationships with franchisees store managers and crew leasing company etc. Provide guidance to D&S team members on customer relations issues and act as a role model for building. maintaining positive relationships.Provide timely responses to Slice of Pie complaintsQualifications :
A 2year degree or some college plus equivalent work experience may be accepted. Bachelors degree preferred35 years of Transportation Manager experience with a proven track record in logisticsMinimum 35 years of supervisory experience with proven ability to develop and lead team members in meeting goals and objectivesThorough working knowledge of Department of Transportation rules and compliance regulationsResultsoriented with strong organizational decision making and people skillsStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office softwareWillingness to support a 24hour operation including carrying an emergency cell phone as neededAbility to work a fulltime / flexible schedule including nights weekends and holidaysMust successfully pass a background check every third year on your anniversary dateCommercial Drivers License Class A would be a plusPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. perform heavy pushing / pulling of product work in refrigerated conditions 3338 degrees and work in an environment with exposure to loud machinery when necessaryAdditional Information :
