As the VDC Support Analyst, you will manage various high priority items. Our team is responsible for billing and collecting on vehicle damage claims to offset the damage expense. You will be responsible for insuring ABG has the proper supporting documentation to accurately bill the appropriate party and subsequently collect. The ideal candidate will be proactive and self-motivated while working in a team environment to drive results.

In addition to properly allocating claims within our Damage Manager Portal, we will ask you to communicate daily with the local operations in your area and share best practices as it relates to vehicle damage. To achieve these goals, you will need to work directly with all Operational levels and other department management. The ideal candidate will have the ability to develop, maintain, and build relationships with various teams and management of all levels in order to achieve results efficiently and quickly. As we continue to drive higher First Notice of Loss (FNOL) targets for the US Division, you will be instrumental in also improving the quality of FNOL, while also driving down customer disputes/complaints. You will need to thoroughly understand the VDC claims process and communicate with our third party administrator when appropriate. Additionally, we are responsible for billing minor damage internally. Understanding best practices will enable you to provide training to local operations. You will be required to learn and drive our key metrics at the location level.

Reporting to Sr Process Manager, Vehicle Damage Claims, this role will work on a team cross collaboratively through the ABG vehicle damage claims process, salvage processing, post repair order creation processing and collections, focusing on quality and consistency improving collection rates region to region. The VDC Support Analyst will be based in the ABG office building in Virginia Beach, Virginia, travel will be minimal and remote work may be allowed upon approval situationally. The position will drive quality improvement across internal teams, as well as strategic suppliers and external partners. This position will work closely with our strategic partners internally and externally driving efficiencies, optimizing performance, and constantly transforming the business. The role will work across multiple organizations including operations, IT, legal, customer service, finance and data analytic fostering a collaborative environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Identify missing First Notice of Loss opportunities and coordinate with local operations to obtain proper documentation to support damage claims
  2. Partner and collaborate with operations to drive damage identification process improvements and work to increase billing dollars and net collections
  3. Ability to effectively train users on the Damage Management Portal with the goal to reduce unallocated damages
  4. Proactive in analysing existing dashboards to identify incremental billing opportunities
  5. Demonstrate an understanding of how driving high FNOL improves the local P&L
  6. Liaise with Supply Chain when appropriate on high dollar claims
  7. Communicate with the Loss Prevention and ERS teams when claim support is needed related to these occurrences
  8. Engage with either the last renter or our claims handling partner when missing First Notice of Loss
  9. Investigative nature when missing First Notice of Loss to properly allocate the claim
  10. Utilize all available resources such as the check-in agent, video footage and local management to attribute the claim properly
  11. Capable of learning claims handling processes at a high level
  12. Skilled at establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
  13. Intrinsically motivated with the ability to be managed remotely
  14. Show the ability to prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines, manage projects, work under pressure and work in a fast-paced team environment
  15. Must possess a strong customer service orientation

Experience, Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1 2 years of work experience with string understanding of subrogation, claims management and collections processes
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and translate data into actionable insights
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively cross-functionally to drive innovation and optimize performance
  • Proficient in utilizing technology and data analytic tools to drive operational efficiency
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Tableau/Power BI experience a plus
