Our client, a growing industrial design / build construction company, is seeking a skilled Preconstruction Manager to lead estimating strategy, support company growth, and strengthen their preconstruction process. This role is ideal for someone with a Construction Science or Civil Engineering degree and 5–8 years of estimating experience, who is ready to step into a high-impact leadership position.

Leadership & Culture Development
- Build and mentor a high-performing preconstruction team around current leaders
- Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement
Bid Preparation & Review
Oversee full bid preparation including estimates, budgets, proposals, and scope reviewsReview takeoff details, specifications, subcontractor pricing, and self-performed workBid Strategy, Risk Management & Value Engineering
Work with executive leadership to identify competitive advantages during pursuit phasesMaintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and repeat clientsIdentify project risks, complex scope items, and cost-saving / value-engineering opportunities early in the processDesign / Build Coordination
Lead the preconstruction effort in defining project scope, schedule, and intent directly with the customerManage and coordinate design development throughout the preconstruction stageProcess Improvement & Market Analysis
Improve estimating tools, workflows, and templates to increase accuracy and efficiencyMonitor market trends, labor rates, and material costs to inform pricing strategies and project planningWho Will Thrive in This Role
