Role Summary
The General Construction Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of school modernization projects. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of educational facility requirements. The Project Manager will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets
- Coordinate design and construction phases, ensuring alignment with educational facility standards
- Lead pre-construction meetings, site walkthroughs, and progress reviews
- Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors
Technical Oversight
Review architectural and engineering drawings for constructability and complianceEnsure adherence to local, state, DSA codes, including ADA and LEED standardsMonitor quality control and safety compliance throughout the project lifecycleStakeholder Coordination
Serve as the primary liaison between school administrators, district officials, architects, engineers, and contractorsFacilitate communication and collaboration among all project stakeholdersProvide regular updates and reports to internal leadership and external clientsContract & Budget Management
Prepare bid packages and assist with contractor selectionNegotiate contracts and manage change ordersTrack expenditures and ensure cost control measures are in place.Clear understanding of Prevailing wage laws and requirements.School-Specific Considerations
Schedule construction activities to minimize disruption to school operationsCoordinate with school staff to ensure safe access and egress during constructionAddress unique challenges of working in occupied school environmentsTypical Tasks

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field experience5+ years of experience managing school construction projectsStrong knowledge of design-build and Lease Lease back delivery method.Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, MS Project)OSHA certification and familiarity with prevailing wage requirementsOffering the following compensation for Project Manager services :
