Job Description

As a Mobile Engineer, you will be responsible for preventive maintenance and corrective repairs for buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment, and grounds. This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services function, focusing on providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee maintenance and repairs to mechanical, industrial, plumbing, structural, life safety, and control systems to ensure facilities meet applicable standards.
  • Review assigned work orders, estimate time and materials required, and maintain inventory of supplies and tools.
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life; oversee repairs and emergency maintenance as needed.
  • Inspect building and industrial systems, including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing, to ensure equipment operates within design capabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agencies, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
  • Operate company-issued vehicles to execute daily work responsibilities.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
  • Coach others, share in-depth job knowledge, and build consensus within the team.
  • Lead by example, model behaviors consistent with company values, and impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities.

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience.
  • Universal CFC certification and a valid driver’s license required.
  • Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Meet physical requirements such as stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders, and lifting / carrying heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • EPA certification preferred.
  • Mechanically inclined with painting skills and specialization in either HVAC, Plumbing, or Electrical.

    Work Environment

    Work is conducted primarily in healthcare facilities, requiring effective communication with healthcare workers. The role involves traveling between locations to perform maintenance work, including general maintenance and HVAC tasks.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eureka, California

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00 / hr.
