The role of the Operations Manager is to provide leadership, supervisory / management, coordination, and direction for all operations areas to ensure conformance to quality standards, meeting delivery targets, and financial goals.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, coordination, and direction for all production areas such as planning, operations, maintenance, and quality to meet budget.
- Measures productivity by analyzing performance data, financial data, and activity reports.
- Coordinates with other support departments such as human resources, NBI, finance, and logistics to ensure successful production operations.
- Oversee planning and organization of product process and ensure availability of necessary material, equipment, and labor resources
- Implement action plans to ensure cost-effective and high-quality production
- Motivate manufacturing team to achieve set objectives and targets
- Determines labor needs to meet production goals.
- Assists with budget preparation for corporate management team.
- Assists with, or prepares and updates, organization's operations manual.
- Participates in weekly and monthly meetings virtually or in-person ie., lean, financial, optimization, NBI, etc.
- Facilitate the establishment and implementation of continuous improvement, lean manufacturing cycle-time reduction culture following Prince road map, support the Kaizen implementation for Indiana.
- Oversee the management of Production floor inventory levels, manufacturing costs, and on- time delivery to customers.
- Provide leadership and management for facility maintenance for safety and regulatory compliance (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
- Prepare annual departmental budget including direct labor costs, facilities improvements, and annual compensation adjustments.
- Manage performance to key performance indicator goals - on-time delivery, PPM, cycle time, overhead efficiency, and productivity per employee.
- Customer communication for NBI, PPM, OTD, projects and others
- Complete weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to management.
- Manage the expansion of facilities and the acquisition and installation of capital equipment.
- Provide leadership for and development of Production Supervisors – establishing priorities, accountabilities, and allocating resources, guiding achievement of performance measures.
- Provide input for hiring, terminations, transfers, salary adjustments, and promotions.
Education And Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Business Administration, or related field required; M.B.A. preferred.Five years of related experience required.Detail orientedExcellent written and verbal skills to interact with people at all levels and functions inside and outside of the organizationDemonstrated strategic thinking skills that portray the ability to conceptualize business requirements in a proactive manner.Ability to assess and address complex problems using creative approaches quickly and accurately.Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to access and navigate the production facility.Must be able to lift 20 pounds at a time.Job Type : Full-time
