HOPE'S VOICE ADVOCATE

Providing Survivor Assistance services to survivors of domestic violence or sexual crimes as prescribed by law; assisting in providing comprehensive case management services to survivors of domestic violence and their families; and assisting in the delivery of prevention programming in both Daviess and Knox County.

• Recognize the signs and understand the dynamics of domestic violence and sexual assault.
• Become informed on the dynamics of trauma and its impact on behavior.
• Provide for the appropriate crisis intervention response to victims of intimate partner violence and sexual assault.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with the appropriate community partners.
• Assist in danger & lethality assessments.
• Provide guidance and assistance in developing appropriate safety planning for survivors and their families
• Assist survivors in obtaining protective orders.
• Available to be on call to answer the Hope's Voice Hotline crisis calls as well as meet with clients after hours.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Experience in the social service field

Demonstrated understanding of the dynamics of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Never been charged and / or no pending charges for a felony or misdemeanor that would pose risks to victims or to the credibility of Hope's Voice.
