Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer . This position will be located at our Aeronautics Systems Sector in Palmdale, CA; El Segundo, CA; Redondo Beach, CA; San Diego, CA; St. Augustine, FL; or Melbourne, FL.

The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Production Engineering & Operations (PE&O) organization. The shifts available for this role are one of the following work schedules :

4 / 10A 1st or 2nd shift (10 hr / day Monday – Thursday)

4 / 10B 1st or 2nd shift (10 hr / day Tuesday – Friday)

3 / 10 1st or 2nd shift (10 hr / day Friday - Sunday)

9 / 80 1st or 2nd shift

Roles and Responsibilities :

Designs manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining, and material handling. Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure the most efficient and productive layout. Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance. Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions. May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan. Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality. Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques. Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.

This requisition may be filled at either an Associate Manufacturing Engineer (T01) or Manufacturing Engineer (T02)

Basic Qualifications for Associate Manufacturing Engineer (T01) :

Be completing or has completed their Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) degree.

Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite) as well as Program Special Access may be required to start.

Basic Qualifications for Manufacturing Engineer (T02) :

Be completing or has completed their Master's degree from an accredited institution or is completing their Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and has 1 year of Manufacturing engineering experience.

Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) degree.

Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite) as well as Program Special Access may be required to start.

Preferred Qualifications for both Associate Manufacturing Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer :

Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25 / 4.0 or higher.

Previous internship / co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional / community / extracurricular).

Pay Range :

Associate Manufacturing Engineer : $56,600 - $98,400

Manufacturing Engineer : $68,500 – $118,900

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
