Job Description

This position is contingent on contract award.

The overall purpose of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is to provide essential support and care to patients under the supervision of nurses and physicians. CNAs assist with daily living activities such as bathing, feeding, and mobility, as well as performing vital signs checks, aiding in examinations, and maintaining patient documentation. They ensure patient comfort and safety while facilitating effective communication between patients and healthcare providers. Certified Nursing Assistants work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, clinics, and military facilities.

Key Responsibilities

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct patient care support in Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs), including but not limited to San Antonio-area medical facilities. Key responsibilities include :

• Assisting patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and ambulation.
• Taking and recording vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
• Observing and reporting changes in patients' condition to licensed nursing staff.
• Supporting clinical staff during patient examinations and treatments.
• Maintaining patient hygiene and comfort in accordance with facility protocols.
• Transporting patients safely using wheelchairs, stretchers, or other assistive devices.
• Ensuring clean, organized patient areas and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Accurately documenting care provided and patient responses in electronic and / or paper records as required by the facility.

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant's background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.

Compensation : Min : $15 / hr Max : $30 / hr
