Who We’re Looking For :

Primary Responsibilities :
perform a detailed inspection of each vehicle being serviced to determine any recommended services, attaching pictures or videos when appropriateefficiently diagnose and repair vehicles to manufacturer specifications brake and hydraulic systems, exhaust, primary and / or advanced fuel ignition, electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systemsadequately document technical diagnoses, needed repairs and work performed on customer work ordersroad test vehicles as needed to ensure quality of repairsparticipate in training sessions and additional certification activities to stay abreast of rapidly changing automotive design and technologyassist fellow technicians / mechanics as neededcommunicate effectively with the service advisor to explain diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical mannermaintain all certificationsmaintain a clean and organized shop and work areaadhere to all company policies, procedures and safety protocolsWhy Work With Us?

At least 2 years of experience in general automotive maintenance and repair working in a fast-paced shop settinga high school diploma or GEDa valid driver’s licensea clean driving record (no DUIs / DWIs / reckless driving charges)authorization to work in the United Statesan interest in continuous learning and improvementexperience operating lifts, diagnostic scanning devices, tablets, shop software, computer diagnostic software, tire changers, wheel balancers, and alignment machinesthe ability to work quickly and efficiently to solve technical problems (usually without oversight)the ability to work as part of a team to solve complex technical problems when appropriateexcellent verbal and written communication skillsthe ability to successfully complete and pass a background checkexcellent attention to detailintegrity and good work ethicactive ASE A-series or dealership certification or ability to become certified within 3 months of hirePreferred Qualifications :
successful completion of a formal technical training programactive ASE L-series or dealership certification(s)Section 609 EPA certificationMaryland State Registered Inspection Mechanic certificationCertified Emissions Repair Technicianexperience with ALLDATA or ProDemand automotive repair / diagnostic softwarePhysical Demands :
