Marketing Manager

We are looking for someone to assist with developing strategy, planning and supporting the delivery of our marketing activities. This role will also focus on external communications with partners and other stakeholders.

Overview of Position :

• Produce / coordinate compelling communications to increase awareness around Fostering Wishes work for foster children and their plight within the Foster System
• Collaborate with leadership team regarding specific and consistent messaging priorities and campaign content that maximizes awareness, resources, partnerships, and opportunities
• Lead marketing and communications activities around all major events
• Partner with fundraising staff on fundraising scripts and donor communications
• Leverage Canva and other tools to promote events, organizing & advocacy opportunities, and share information with the community
• Prepare news releases, articles, and interview talking points to share information about Fostering Wishes with the public
• Familiarity with Canva and Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.) is a plus
• Previous experience in a similar role with a non-profit is also a plus

Time commitment :

The ideal volunteer will be available to not only meet the time commitments outlined below but will also communicate, without hesitation, if the scope of work exceeds the estimated time allotted. Open and honest communication will be essential to help us grow a successful and sustainable volunteer team and resources we need.

Estimated time commitment : 5 hours per week, including monthly meetings and updating information in our Google Workspace, with flexibility to accommodate organizational priorities as needed.
