    • The Life Safety (Wall) Maintenance Mechanic 1 , inspection, repair, installation and modification work on interior building walls in accordance with Compartmentation guidelines. This work is performed under general supervision using the tools and techniques of life safety technology.

      Requirements / Qualifications :

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    • Successful completion of formal training in an approved Life Safety program at a vocational or technical school, college, or apprenticeship sponsor organization.
    • 5 years related work experience. The full-time equivalent spent in an approved program may count toward the 5-year work experience requirement.
    • Knowledge of approved firestop systems, metal stud framing, drywall, caulking, patching, taping and caulking techniques, procedures and materials.
    • Extensive knowledge of building codes and fire codes.

    • Salary Range : Minimum $24.24 / hour - Maximum $28.13 / hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
