A CDL Technician is responsible for safely driving and / or towing all assigned vehicles and equipment to and from jobsites. In addition, the CDL technician is responsible for tasks associated with industrial plant site clean-up. Such as, use of industrial vacuums, high pressure water and dry ice blasting equipment, hazardous waste and decontamination clean-up equipment, and handling hazardous and non-hazardous waste and materials. This position offers great opportunity to work as part of a team, grow skill set, and advance from entry-level to supervisory roles at AIS.

REPORTS TO : Field Operations Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Operate light and heavy equipment to include, but not limited to, pumps, vacuum equipment, hydro blasting equipment, forklifts, man lifts, jackhammers, and other light and heavy equipment.
• Perform activities to include, but not limited to, clean-up of chemical and water spills, tank cleaning, boiler cleaning, equipment decontamination, and other duties as assigned.
• Perform vehicle inspections, equipment inspections and Health & Safety inspections.
• Perform strenuous physical labor to include, but not limited to lifting, pulling, and pushing heavy objects.
• Ensures proper use of equipment and immediately notifies supervisor of any mechanical failures and / or problems with equipment.
• Ensure Health and Safety regulations are met at all jobsites, to include drop yards.
• Maintain professional appearance and demeanor while on jobsites and in uniform.
• Maintain quick and immediate response when on call.
• Ability to complete associated paperwork, to include but not limited to, daily worksheets, manifests, disposal documentation, vehicle inspections, equipment inspections, and Health and Safety requirements and permits.
