Clinic Receptionist / Scheduler- Float Pool

Job Description

Position Summary :

The Clinic Receptionist / Scheduler schedules, greets and registers patients and provides reception, routing phone calls to the appropriate party and collecting payments when necessary. This position ensures the cost-effective and efficient flow of communications when assisting patients with appointment scheduling. Ensures optimal customer service and accurate and efficient patient registration. Provides clerical support to the clinic on a daily basis.

Position Qualifications :

Education / Licensure / Certification :

• High school diploma or GED required, with advanced course work and training highly desirable.

Knowledge :

Skills :

Comfortable with regularly verifying and processing insurance eligibility and obtaining authorization requests, including verifying personal credentials with external partners to obtain this information (e.g., ID.me for identity verification for VA insurance coordination).
