About The Position

Job Title : CVOR Registered Nurse

Profession : Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 12 hours (06 : 00 - 18 : 30)

Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience required

License : SC or Multi-state RN license must be in hand at the start of the contract

Certifications : BLS, ACLS (must be AHA)

Must-Have : Experience in scrubbing and circulating complex cardiac cases, general OR cases, and vascular cases

Description :

Responsible for providing nursing care in the cardiovascular operating room.

Will work three 12-hour shifts from Monday to Friday.

On-call requirement is 5-8 calls per month, including one weekend.

Holiday call may also be required.

Must have the ability to scrub and circulate complex cardiac cases, general OR cases, and vascular cases.

Common procedures include CABG, TAVR, LVAD, Impella, valve surgeries, and heart & lung transplants.

Experience in handling diverse age groups, primarily adults, is expected.

Preferred experience includes charge nursing and trauma level I or II settings.

Will work within an interdisciplinary team that includes IV teams, respiratory services, and pharmacy.

Must possess skills in various cardiovascular surgical procedures.

Travelers should be aware of potential emergency response duties during hurricane season, which runs from June through November each year.
