Healthcare Customer Service Representative (Remote)
100% Remote | $18-$20 / hr | Contract | Start October 13th or 20th
About the Role
We're hiring Healthcare Customer Service Representatives to join our growing team! In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for patients and providers, answering questions about insurance, billing, scheduling, medical records, and prior authorizations .
This is a fast-paced, high-volume call center role (50-70 inbound calls per day) that requires at least 2 years of healthcare call center experience . If you're empathetic, detail-oriented, and thrive on helping patients, we'd love to hear from you. Spanish bilingual preferred.
Schedule & Pay
Full-time, 40 hours / week (Monday-Friday, 7 : 00 AM-7 : 00 PM EST; 8-hour shifts)
Example shifts : 7 : 00 AM-3 : 30 PM | 8 : 00 AM-4 : 30 PM | 9 : 00 AM-5 : 30 PM
Pay : $18-$20 per hour
Start Date : October 13th or October 20th
What You'll Do
Handle 50-70 inbound calls daily with patients, providers, and insurance reps.
Help with scheduling, insurance verification, billing questions, and medical record requests.
Process referrals, prior authorizations, and claim inquiries.
Accurately document all interactions and comply with HIPAA.
Provide excellent service in a professional, compassionate manner.
What We're Looking For
2+ years healthcare call center experience required
Strong knowledge of insurance processes, billing, or medical terminology preferred
Excellent communication and multitasking skills
Comfortable with EMR / scheduling systems and high call volumes
Spanish bilingual strongly preferred
High school diploma or equivalent

Contract through Medix Staffing (90 days with possibility to extend)
IT Deposit : $30 / week withheld during first 10 weeks (up to $300), refunded once equipment is returned

No weekends + stable weekday schedule
