Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neonatal ICU (NICU) night position requiring BLS, NRP, and Dr. Browns Infant Driven Feeding certification.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is in a hospital NICU setting
  • Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (19 : 00-07 : 00)
  • 13-week assignment
  • Must work two out of the three winter holidays; time off for Christmas (12 / 24-12 / 25) cannot be approved
  • Required to work three weekends within each six-week schedule period
  • Candidates may be required to float within their scope of practice within the facility
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Maximum of 40 hours of approved time off per 13-week contract
  • No time off permitted during the first two weeks of assignment
  • Mandatory online modules during orientation, up to 16 hours non-billable
  • Holiday and weekend coverage required as specified
  • Return staff must have one year separation to be eligible for rehire
  • External travelers cannot work more than 365 days in total at this facility

    • \n \n Requirements\n

  • Active VA or Compact RN license required (pending license accepted but must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
  • Current BLS and NRP certifications required
  • Dr. Browns Infant Driven Feeding certification required (pending accepted at submission, $185 cost)
  • Two professional references required
  • Nursys verification required for consideration
  • Epic charting experience required
  • BSN preferred
