Cost Accountant / Sales Pricing Analyst

About the Role

We are seeking a highly analytical Cost Accountant / Pricing Analyst with strong experience in manufacturing cost accounting, pricing analysis, and sales forecasting. This role bridges Finance, Sales, and Operations—with a focus on product costing, margin analysis, pricing strategy, and profitability reporting.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with manufacturing environments (food manufacturing or CPG preferred) and advanced technical skills in Excel, Power BI, SQL, or ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Hyperion, NetSuite, etc.).

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review cost models, product costing, price quotations, and margin analysis for new and existing products.

Lead and coordinate the budgeting and forecasting process, with an emphasis on sales planning and revenue projections.

Generate reports on sales revenue, gross margin, rebate accruals, and profitability by product, customer, and business unit.

Perform variance analysis, cost allocation, and financial impact studies to support sales strategy.

Ensure data accuracy and integrity across ERP, BI tools, and financial systems.

Develop dashboards, reports, and presentations for senior leadership.

Partner with Sales, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain to drive cost efficiency and optimize pricing strategy.

Provide ad-hoc financial and sales analysis to support executive decision-making.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.

4+ years of experience in cost accounting, pricing analysis, or financial analysis within a manufacturing environment.

Advanced Excel required; experience with Power BI, SQL, Power Query, Tableau, or ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, NetSuite) strongly preferred.

Proven ability in data analysis, cost modeling, margin optimization, and pricing strategy.

Storng communication and collaboration skills; ability to work across finance and commercial teams.

Self-starter with a detail-oriented and proactive approach.
