Job description

At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are currently looking to hire a Project Engineer Ibased in Mount Crawford, VA!

Job Description :

At Danone, our commitment to manufacturing the highest quality products and meeting market demand is a fundamental driver for our plant teams. We are currently seeking an Project Engineer for our Mt. Crawford facility. In this role, you will be part of the plant engineering team and be responsible for supporting strategic, operational, and policy-related aspects of the plant, with a focus on safety, quality, performance, management, and organizational objectives. You will be responsible for multiple capital projects within the plant, overseeing technical execution, timeline management, and financial oversight for each project.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Project execution of current (Processing, Packaging, Building and Utility) projects
  • Work with Engineering Manager to align on project priorities
  • Work with CAPEX analyst to manage the capital forecast and budget for each project
  • Create, design and evaluate initial call for tender documents with the Engineering Manager
  • Work with Regional Engineering teams during bidding processes and technical alignment
  • Work with the CAPEX procurement team to align on priorities and contract negotiations
  • Travel required occasionally for training or plant projects.

About you

Job Qualifications :

  • Experience and working knowledge in :
  • Integrated automation and controls technology
  • Dairy process engineering and PMO, 3A standards
  • Plant based process engineering
  • Manufacturing plant utility systems
  • Must be organized and self-disciplined to accommodate the management of concurrent projects
  • Excellent conflict resolution and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekend or late shifts, during installation / startup periods

    • Experience and Education Requirement :

  • Bachelors degree in an Engineering, Food Science or relevant degree from an accredited College or University
  • 3 to 5 years of experience

    • 3 years of relevant Engineering experience required, preferably in CPG beverage / food manufacturing
