Hospitalist in Iowa

University based setting

60 miles to University of Iowa

90 miles of bike trails, very diverse area

250 miles to Chicago

Overview :

Well established, 22-member team (18 Physicians & 4 Advanced Practitioners) and growing
Excellent specialty support
12 Bed ICU with intensivist
Fully integrated system with clinic and hospitals on Epic EMR to improve care coordination

Responsibilities :

Average patients / day : 15-18

Admitting / Rounding on medical / surgical patients 18-years of age and older (adult), & non-maternity

Shifts available : 5 on / 5 off- 12-hour Day shift 7A-7P and occasional swing shift 12P-12A

Days / Weekends / Holidays - shared equally amongst group

Established Tele-hospitalist 7A-7P with local providers

2 med floors, 1 cardio,1 surgical, and consult in rehab / mental health

Can cover ICU and perform procedures if desired, but this is NOT a requirement
