Electrical Technician / Programmer

We’re seeking a skilled Electrical Technician / Programmer to join a growing, family-owned automation company specializing in rebuilt and customized packaging and processing equipment. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where your technical expertise and creativity will directly shape cutting-edge machinery projects.

What You’ll Do

Program Allen Bradley PLCs and HMIs from scratch

Lead commissioning, troubleshooting, and project execution

Perform field wiring for external components (valves, solenoids, HMIs, servos)

Make independent technical decisions and lead projects

Collaborate with electricians, panel builders, mechanics, and painters

Provide remote programming support with minimal travel (1–2 trips / year)

Experience We’re Looking For

Must Have

5+ years working with industrial machinery

Strong Allen Bradley PLC & HMI programming experience

Hands-on field wiring experience

Servo system experience

Project leadership and technical decision-making

AutoCAD Electrical (basic required, advanced preferred)

Nice to Have

Fanuc or ABB robot programming

Mechanical installation / integration knowledge

Cross-functional team leadership experience
