Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Identify items that are minimally required to perform the essential functions of this position.

Education :

Diploma or certificate of completion :

Experience :

Two (2) year cardiovascular procedure experience

Two (2) year conscious sedation experience depending upon role

Complex cardiovascular procedure experience which could include, electrophysiology (EP), peripheral vascular and / or structural heart procedures.

License(s) / Certification(s) :

Have and maintain current licensure / certification in good standing to practice with one of the following :

Dual licensure or certification may be required for certain markets for this position based upon states of practice.

New hires who are not dual licensing / certification will have 90 days from date of hire to obtain and submit proof of dual licensure. (Proof of application for dual licensure is acceptable within the 90-day window if licensure processing has not been completed at the state level).

Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

Dependent upon role, if administering procedural sedation, must have previous experience and take a Conscious sedation class (UnityPoint procedural sedation class) and pass a competency test with 84% accuracy as required by the affiliates policy. This competency test needs to be done every two years to verify competency. Market level policy must be followed for Propofol administration.

Must have Cardiac Basic Rhythm interpretation skills and be able to pass a competency.
