Meat Cutter - Full-time - Condensed Week - No Sundays

Qualifications :

Age 18+

Fresh meat cutting experience is preferred

Ability to stand for long periods of time while in a cooled environment

Ability to lift 50 pounds

Speak, read, write, and understand English

Responsibilities :

• Cutting all varieties and cuts of meat (beef, pork, oxtail), with knives or band saw
• Detailed work including trimming fat, breaking down large pieces into steaks, loins, chops, etc.
• Assist with grinding meat, and patty / sausage / formed product production
• Assist with clerking (customer service and cashiering) responsibilities during times of high customer traffic or to meet hours requirements
• Following safety guidelines for food handling, personal hygiene, and operating equipment and tools
• Other duties as assigned

Scheduling :

• Part Time with potential to be Full time (40+ hours / week)
• Tentative schedule :

Wednesdays 6 : 30 am - 2 pm (prep and production)

• Thursdays 6 am - 3 : 30 pm
• Fridays & Saturdays start at 7 am and end sometime between 6 pm - 8 : 30 pm
• Saturday availability / flexibility required
• New Castle Farmer's Market operating hours : Thursdays 9 am - 3 pm, Fridays - Saturdays 9 am - 8 pm
