American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Columbus, Ohio.

Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Ohio, requiring 2 years' experience, night shifts, and an active OH or compact RN license.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), floating to other units within the organization as needed
  • Night shift schedule : 3x12-hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30
  • Surgical with Burn unit patient population
  • Call required on a rotational basis
  • Minimum of every other weekend required, with opportunity for additional weekends based on preference and unit needs
  • Uses Epic EMR; Epic experience is required
  • Responsibilities include IV starts, medication administration, lab draws, and patient education
  • Must be prepared to float to various units as organizational needs dictate
  • Fingerprinting for Ohio is required and must be completed urgently at the start of contract
  • Locals within driving distance are accepted at the same rate
  • Time-off requests must be submitted up front and built into the contract
  • Former employees must have been away from the facility for at least 6 months to be eligible
  • Current employees are ineligible for travel assignments at this location

  • Active OH or compact RN license in hand prior to consideration
  • Minimum of 2 years' recent PCU nursing experience required
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • IV start skills, medication administration, lab draws, and patient education required
  • Experience in surgical and burn unit procedures required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Previous travel nurse experience preferred
  • Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program required
  • Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager / director or supervisor
