Job Description :

Drive strategic geospatial initiatives as a hybrid-remote Senior Geospatial Operations Professional! In this role, you'll lead complex geospatial projects and data pipeline development using ArcGIS Pro and Python, delivering high-quality solutions that drive strategic business decisions. Serve as the subject matter expert for geospatial data, providing mentorship. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute critical initiatives, including client data transitions and platform integrations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and execution of complex geospatial projects, using ArcGIS Pro and other tools to produce high-quality, strategic deliverables for the business.
  • Design and architect scalable and robust geospatial data pipelines; develop, refine, and automate these processes using scripting languages like Python.
  • Serve as the organization's subject matter expert on geospatial data, providing advanced training and mentorship to other team members.
  • Own the full lifecycle for key initiatives; track project information, drive the resolution of complex issues, and report status and strategy to senior management.
  • Champion process improvements by assessing how various technologies can enable more effective and efficient workflows, and implement those solutions.
  • Translate complex internal and external data into actionable business intelligence, producing reports and analyses that inform strategic decisions.
  • Lead special projects critical to our strategic roadmap, including major client data transitions and platform integrations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and data teams across a matrix management structure to ensure project alignment and success.

Job Qualifications :

Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a Geospatial field (Geography, GIS) or a related discipline.
  • Required Technical Expertise :
  • Expert-level proficiency with ArcGIS Pro.

  • Deep expertise in cadastral mapping principles, land grids, and property data systems.
  • Demonstrated experience using scripting languages (Python preferred) to automate and manage data pipelines.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in geospatial data management and analysis
  • Preferred Technical Skills :
  • Strong background working in FME environments.

  • Solid understanding of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS).
  • Experience with FEMA datasets.
  • Experience with orthorectification of aerial imagery to a high degree of accuracy.
  • Leadership and Professional Skills :
  • Proven leadership experience with a track record of driving projects and mentoring team members in a dynamic environment.

  • Exceptional analytical capability, with the ability to evaluate complex issues from multiple angles and exercise sound judgment to find solutions.
  • A collaborative team player with the self-motivation and direction to succeed in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Mastery of organization and prioritization; able to perform multiple high-stakes tasks and meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to take direction from multiple stakeholders and adapt to the work styles of others.

    Annual Pay Range : 78,200 - 105,600 USD
