Project Manager I

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Project Manager I to lead projects with professionalism, flexibility, and resourcefulness in a dynamic environment. This role involves managing project quality, timeliness, and safety, mentoring the project team, and developing strong customer relationships through excellent service and communication skills. This is a travel position with the ability to be full-time on a project site in the Midwest region. Mortenson offers competitive traveler benefits for projects away from regional office locations.

Responsibilities :

• Manage overall financial health of projects
• Support and lead EPC contract negotiations, including technical exhibits and project schedules
• Lead vendor procurement and bid / award phase for major subs and suppliers
• Develop and maintain project financial and equipment projections
• Allocate project estimate into financial system, determine cost codes, approve invoices
• Provide financials and billings to accounting, create monthly owner billings
• Manage subcontracts and suppliers, oversee budget and selections of trade partners
• Handle billings, contract management, and change orders
• Manage and develop Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, approve timecards, provide feedback

The base pay range for this role is $110,700 - $166,100. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations : Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%). Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson's incentive plan.
