The ideal candidate should have proven success in working in Pricing or FPA roles with a strong ability to influence decisions among stakeholders./ph3Position Description/h3pThe Generics Pricing Manager will develop and execute pricing strategies to maintain and expand new business within the McKesson Generic Pharmaceutical Organization. This individual will focus on actively managing item level margins for our key customers in the McKesson health systems segment. The Manager will need to build strong working relationships with external/internal clients to maintain engagement and enable pricing decisions based on market shifts and consolidation. The individual will be responsible for keeping a pulse on the competitive landscape within the segment by creating dashboards, reporting, and tools that depict market share flux and opportunity. A total package of qualities to be successful in the role will include strong data analysis, customer relationship, and project management skills to make swift, yet informed decisions./ph3Key Responsibilities/h3ulliManage generic pharmaceutical pricing through financial analysis to maintain/grow revenue/margins; focus on targeted pricing strategies using price optimization software and analyzing market opportunities./liliDevelop dashboards, reports and tools to track overall market competitiveness for our portfolio of generic items; benchmark sell prices across customers/liliPropose, present and engage in value added strategic initiatives/liliBuild and maintain strong internal stakeholder relationships resulting in alignment on strategic priorities and successful execution of key initiatives/li/ulh3Key Performance Metrics/h3ulliIncrease sales and margin through proactive, consistent, and optimized price management on a daily basis/liliImprove and maintain program participation through internal stakeholder partnership and optimized price strategies/liliAbility to bring forth new pricing strategies to increase portfolio profitability and increase/maintain sales/li/ulh3Minimum Requirement/h3pDegree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience. Bachelor degree in finance or related field or equivalent experience Critical Skills/pulli7+ years accounting, finance, finance analytics or similar experience/liliUnderstanding of business management including PL, ROI, and break-even analysis/liliStrong verbal and written communication skills/liliCritical thinking and problem resolution skills/liliAbility to navigate through complex issues, interpret and transform financial data into recommendations to senior leadership/liliAbility to build pricing models using MS Excel (Intermediate to Advance level)/liliStrong PowerPoint and presentations skills/li/ulh3Additional Knowledge Skills/h3ulliStrong interpersonal skills/liliHighly motivated self-starter; ability to initiate and manage projects with minimal supervision/liliStrong project management skills with ability to manage competing multiple priorities/liliAbility to perform and deliver quality results within a highly matrix environment/liliKnowledge of pharmaceuticals and payer reimbursements a plus/liliPrevious healthcare or Pharma experience (preferred)/liliExperience supporting sales teams is a plus/li/ulh3Physical Requirements/h3pGeneral Office Demands/ppWe are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKessons pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
