We are seeking a Supplemental Instruction Student Leader who will work closely with the Program Coordinator and Supplemental Instructor Assistant to support students academically by facilitating and overseeing various programs. The student leader will provide supervision to the Supplemental Instructors, ensuring that program initiatives are properly executed. This position will report to the Title V Teacher Excellence Project Coordinator.
This is a part-time, hourly position.
Examples of Duties :
- Manage day-to-day implementation of the Supplemental Instruction program.
 - Assist in the facilitation of the the Specialized Peer Tutoring program.
 - Attend regular meetings with the Supplemental Instructor Assistant, Program Coordinator, and other instructional staff to discuss student progress and program implementation.
 - Assist in creating and developing supplemental instructional materials, such as handouts, promotional materials, worksheets, and study guides.
 - Conduct Supplemental Instruction and Specialized Peer Tutoring training sessions for students.
 - Collaborate with faculty members to assign Supplemental Instructors to courses each semester.
 - Maintain and oversee the completion of Supplemental Instructors' weekly required materials.
 - Conduct Supplemental Instruction and review sessions for students enrolled in assigned courses.
 
Qualifications :
Enrolled in an associate's degree program preferred.Outstanding leadership and project management.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students and Program Coordinator to foster a positive learning environment.Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt collaborative methods to meet the diverse learning needs of students.Dependability and punctuality in fulfilling assigned responsibilities.The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate
Compensation : Compensation is determined by a variety of criteria, including but not limited to, previous relevant experience, education level, and certifications. The hourly pay for this position is $17.
