Schedule PM Shift : 7 PM - 7 AM Job Description The RN in the High Acuity Stepdown Unit (SDU) is responsible for providing high-quality patient care for a diverse patient population, including acutely ill patients and those recovering from surgical procedures. The RN will utilize assessment skills and clinical expertise to deliver comprehensive and systematic patient care. Responsibilities Perform thorough and accurate assessments of patients across all stages of life, from pediatric to geriatric. Demonstrate competent clinical skills and provide direct patient care in a supportive team environment. Maintain complete and accurate documentation, including patient education and progress towards outcomes. Actively engage with patients and families to promote professionalism and satisfaction. Follow National Patient Safety Goals and ensure safe transfer techniques and body mechanics are used. Individualize care based on patient conditions, diagnoses, and surgical procedures. Contribute to the perioperative team by prioritizing patient care based on needs and conditions. Assess patients' understanding of surgical instructions and provide appropriate preoperative and postoperative education. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure 1 year of ICU experience - Required RN License - Required BLS - Required ACLS - Required Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associates or Bachelor's Degree - Preferred Why ARMStaffing?
