Bartlett Primary Assessment Center in Bartlett, Tennessee is a short-term, trauma-informed assessment facility serving youth in need of stabilization and behavioral evaluation.\nYouth typically remain in care for approximately 30 days, during which they receive structured intake, education, multidisciplinary assessment, and life skills programming. Small group settings support emotional safety, initial stabilization, and planning for an appropriate subsequent placement.\nJob Type : Full Time\nBenefits\n

  • Tuition Assistance and Opportunities for Growth\n\nKey Responsibilities\nAs a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents, including administering medication, monitoring vital signs, and providing emotional support to residents and their families. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to develop and implement individualized care plans for residents.\n
  • Provide care education to patients in person or over the phone.\n
  • Adhere to compliance guidelines throughout processes (OSHA, FDA, HIPAA)\n
  • Triage illness and injuries at each shift, determine medical priority and treat within the scope of nursing practice.\n
  • Monitor and / or administer medications.\n
  • Conduct required health screenings.\n
  • During orientation and on an annual basis, staff members and youth will receive instruction on the exposure control plan, which includes standard precautions, bloodborne pathogens, and how communicable diseases are spread.\n
  • Document health care progress, problems, needs, and recommendations.\n\nOther Duties Include\n
  • Coordinate with safety teams quarterly mock emergency drills on a number of emergency situations with detailed debriefing and critiques.\n
  • Provides staff training as required by state agency. Examples of training may include, but is not limited to first aid, universal precautions, use of epi-pens, and medication review for those staff cleared to monitor self-administration of medications. CPR training may also be provided if the nurse is a certified CPR trainer.\n
  • Maintain "Controlled Drug Book", assuring that agency required forms are being used and signed by staff when medication is administered and when nurse or cleared representatives are conducting shift-to-shift medication counts.\n
  • Participate in treatment team staffing as needed.\n
  • Maintain health / first aid supplies, including, but not limited to the ordering epi-pens and bandaging units, ordering, and stocking other supplies, monitoring expiration dates, and monitoring / maintaining of Automatic External Defibrillator (AED).\n
  • Participate in training and development activities as required to maintain licensure (based on state board of nursing recommendations).\n
  • Perform other duties as assigned.\n\nRequirements\nEducation : Must have a license as a professional Registered Nurse which shall have included clinical nursing, practice in nursing supervision, nursing education, nursing management or public health nursing.\nExperience : Three years' experience as a professional RN\nSkills : A sound understanding of group leadership, group dynamics, and experiential education. Records management and Medicaid processes preferred. Advanced oral and written communication skills.\nPhysical Demands : Must be in good physical health and emotionally stable. Must be able to move about the property. Must be able to participate in youth activities. Must be able to transport youth or staff. Must be free of communicable diseases as defined by the state and to the extent that data is attainable under the law. Must be able to pass PAR evaluation of physical techniques and written certification exam.\nOther : Must maintain an appropriate and valid state driver's license.
