Located in Minneapolis, MN, this six-week leave contract position offers a unique opportunity to provide crucial 1:1 support to a first-grade student with dual sensory impairments in an elementary school setting. The role involves serving as an Intervener Substitute, working Monday through Friday during standard school hours to ensure consistent, individualized support and accessibility for the student during the primary intervener's absence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver consistent 1:1 support aligned with the students established routines and individualized support plan.
• Facilitate effective communication, orientation, mobility, and access to curriculum tailored to sensory needs.
• Implement communication systems and sensory access strategies to enhance learning and interaction.
• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, related service providers, and the Student Services team.
• Monitor and document student observations and progress according to district guidelines.
• Maintain continuity of services to provide uninterrupted support throughout the leave period.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree is required.
• Valid Short-Call Substitute License (PELSB) necessary.
• Prior experience as an Intervener is highly preferred.
