Buyer In Vehicle Compute
As a Buyer in Vehicle Compute you will be responsible for the purchase of all or a specific portion of productive and / or non-productive materials, supplies, machinery, tooling and / or services. Responsible for actively participating in the development of commodity strategy, sourcing / negotiations, global / regional material budget execution, and collaborate with suppliers or internal partners. The work is of a sophisticated nature involving a considerable amount of initiative, analytical work and judgment. Specific areas of focus will be on the next generation electrical architecture, including autonomous level driving technologies. This role will also support GM's migration to In-House-Design in the Electronics space.
Responsibilities :
You will be responsible for the purchase of all or a specific portion of productive and / or non-productive materials, supplies, machinery, tooling and / or services.
Responsible for actively participating in development of commodity strategy, sourcing / negotiations, global / regional material budget execution, and interface with suppliers or internal stakeholders.
Work is of a complex nature involving a considerable amount of initiative, analytical work and a high level of independent judgment.
Partner with Program Managers to represent purchasing and communicate program requirements / vehicle line overview.
Nurture relationship with strategic suppliers by acting as a focal point for commercial issue resolution.
