Manufacturing Technical Manager
In this role, you will be responsible for owning manufacturing process at contract manufacturing partners including laying out floor plan, setting up & Qualifying FATP lines, driving yield and UPH improvement, developing and implementing factory floor system, driving cost and cycle time reduction, and driving ramp and MP readiness. You will partner closely with Hardware Engineering, Technical Operations and our Manufacturing partners driving NPI manufacturing process readiness to ensure new products ramped and launched on time.
Manufacturing Technical Manager Responsibilities
- Work with contract manufacturing (CM) partners on yield improvement and process troubleshooting
- Work with CM partner to design and layout the FATP (final assembly, test, and pack-out) line by applying lean and Six Sigma technology
- Develop manufacturing processes at the factory and drive line qualifications by working with cross-functional teams and CM partners
- Work with cross-functional team (HW Engineering, Operations and manufacturing partner teams) to drive ramp and MP readiness
- Drive cost and cycle time reduction through line balancing, and line automation
- Drive FACA (Failure Analysis Corrective Action) and yield bridge to mass production
- Travel up to 30% to Asia Pacific region
Minimum Qualifications
Experience working with manufacturers5+ years of experience in Operations engineering activitiesExperience with Final Assembly, Test, Pack-out and SMT processesExperience with analytical approaches to problem-solving (Six Sigma, 8D, FMEA, etc.)Experience with GD&T, data analysis and statisticsProject management experience including Planning, Cost, & DeliveryExperience in high volume mass productionPreferred Qualifications
Experience with optical systems and clean room setupExperience with automated system bring up and qualificationData analysis experience using JMPTolerance Analysis experience$170,000 / year to $240,000 / year + bonus + equity + benefits
