About the Job :
Performs all aspects of the general Ultrasound exams. Oversees and coordinates the daily operations to support the Ultrasound department. Provides compassion and comfort to all patients. Assures complete records are produced for each exam and assists in the clinical training of other technologists. Coordinates and oversees student technologists.
What You’ll Do :
Job Functions of Lead Technologist : Coordinates schedule to ensure all exams are performed in a timely manner
Oversees clinical education for Ultrasound student technologists
Assures technologists are adequately trained to use all equipment relevant to their position
Completes essential documentation such as consents and questionnaires prior to beginning patient exams
Inspects all images performed for quality and proper documentation. Presents completed images to Radiologist for interpretation
Other Responsibilities : Supervises and assists students in clinical work and provides counsel during clinical time
Coordinates educational activities for students as mandated by the Sonography Program and ARDMS competency requirements
Provides documentation of a student’s progress through mid and final semester evaluation
Educates department staff with the policies and procedures associated with clinical training
Provides an orientation to the Radiology Department
Who You Are :
Completion of two years of Ultrasound training in an AMA approved school to meet the requirements for registry by the ARDMS or equivalent training
ARDMS certification State of NH Board of Medical Imaging Licensure
Prior supervisory experience preferred.
A minimum of two years of experience as an ultrasound technologist required
