Essential Job Functions :

• Set up and run Mori Seki NL1500 SY CNC lathes with live tooling : Responsible for installing and properly aligning all fixtures and tooling required to setup and / or prove out new and repeat jobs. Maintain machine setup and tooling to produce high quality close tolerance parts at an acceptable production rate in a busy shop. Employ knowledge of machine controls, program codes, fixtures and tool offsets, and CNC systems; edit programs as required
• Utilize all necessary gages and equipment to properly inspect parts
• Troubleshoot minor issues within the machine shop
• Understand and properly utilize all items included in job router / traveler
• Deburr parts as needed
• Perform other related tasks including but not limited to performing housekeeping tasks required to keep the work area safe, clean and organized
• Have pride in workmanship and a strong desire to utilize skills and knowledge to consistently produce quality parts
• Keep leadership aware of any condition that may affect the efficiency, quality or completion of jobs, and assist in continuous improvement activities within the machine shop
• Other duties as assigned
