About the role
This position is responsible for providing Manufacturing Engineering support to ensure the timely production of quality, cost-effective parts and assemblies of a more complex nature or larger scope. The role involves leading and managing projects to drive continuous improvement, supporting the goals and objectives of cost savings for the business unit, including cost reductions and quality improvement activities. Key responsibilities include planning, executing, and monitoring projects to meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards, while coordinating with cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Responsible for all manufacturing engineering matters relating to new product launches including process development, validation, pilot builds, reducing cost, identifying required facility improvements, design and fabrication of tooling & equipment, development of required documentation, operator training, demonstrating process capability and transitioning products from development to production
- Project management for medium - large scale projects
- Provides direct support to manufacturing for the specification, design, fabrication, modification and evaluation of parts, assemblies, components, sub-assemblies, tooling and final products
- Responsible for the transition of assigned products from development into production and assuring that manufacturing processes for product meet expectations regarding product cycle times, quality levels and costs
- Responsible for developing manufacturing processes for new products and validating the processes by performing engineering and PILOT runs
- Maintain manufacturing procedures and documentation per ISO standards
- Responsible for developing, writing and maintaining work standards (method sheet)
- Responsible for providing engineering assistance to production and manufacturing teams to solve problems related to the process
- Provides training for procedures related to process control, incorporates Engineering Change Request (ECR) per ECR Process
- Contribute on new product teams to bring product to the market in a timely manner while assuring quality and manufacturability of process and product
- Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards
- Capable of leading facility related projects (HVAC, Chillers, Compressed Air, Lighting, Fire Annunciation / Suppression)

Must have the ability to understand and apply FMEA, Cpk and gage R & R analysis for manufacturing processesMust have the ability to use Solid Works or other Solid Modeling softwareMust have the ability to use Engineering Economics analysis for decision making processKnowledge of :Lean manufacturing, 5S, Visual Management
