Software Vehicle Test Engineer - Santa Clara, CA (100% onsite)

What you'll be doing :

  • Handle end-to-end AV software testing for autonomous functionalities (like ACC, LK, Lane Change etc.), Safety features & parking, collaborating with teams across NVIDIA Automotive platform.
  • Validate NVIDIA Drive product at vehicle level and review requirements, develop test metrics and establish KPI-metrics evaluation.
  • Design test routes and perform in-car tests at larger scale to ensure SW quality could match expectations of the end user.
  • Report events as per the defined protocols including Safety and work with collaborators to improve the reports, communication.
  • Travel to different locations to perform in-car testing based on test plans to collect proving ground and public road scenarios to ensure comprehensive real-world testing for ADAS / AS SW features.
  • Collect quality and valuable expert feedback from in-car test drives and present them with multi-functional feature PICs / Leads.
  • Debugging issues, collaborating with engineers to identify root causes, and chip in to process improvements.

What we need to see :

  • 3+ years of in-car testing experience for ADAS features.
  • BS or MS degree in Engineering or Computer Science related field.
  • Experience with Linux / QNX systems.
  • Experience with programming languages like C++, Python, JavaScript, databases management
  • Technical in nature and able to elaborate as needed on the lowest detail to the highest-level vision of the job.
  • Prior experience in Vehicle bring up, Verification and Validation test at large scale.
  • Prior experience on AV Triage workflows.
  • Be able to efficiently work with multiple teams.

    • Ways to stand out from the crowd :

  • Proven large scale in-car test experience in autonomous Driving (L2 / L3 / L4) and Parking product with excellence in debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Coding skills Python, JavaScript, databases
  • Experience in AV development, testing or Automotive Standards ISO26262, ISO21448.
  • A valid Driving License.

  • His depth of ADAS knowledge does not meet our criteria. He has no ADAS SW testing experience. His experience is mainly in automotive non-ADAS driving features.
  • Candidate has fake experience. No automotive experience or ADAS knowledge or experience.
  • His triaging knowledge is very limited to HW level and basic ADAS functions. I am looking for someone with 2-3 years of real hands-on triage experience.
