Art Center Coordinator — One River School of Art + Design, Manhasset, NY

Responsibilities

  • Answer phones, meet and greet students and parents at the front desk
  • Assist with Student Art Show hanging
  • Assist with Student Art Show reception preparation
  • Help run Birthday party events
  • Attend offsite events
  • Assist with marketing by distributing rack cards in the community
  • In the Summer will document classroom activity and upload photos into Padlet (training given)
  • Assist with any administrative duties that are required

Qualifications / Requirements

  • BA / BS in a visual arts related degree is highly preferred
  • Detail oriented, self-starter, well organized, able to organize set weekly priorities and goals for assigned tasks
  • Some weekend availability required
  • 1+ customer service experience
  • 1+ previous admin experience, preferred but not required
  • Thoughtful communication skills
  • A demonstrated interest in visual arts (studying visual arts in college or taking fine art classes etc.)

    • Huge Plus If

  • Familiar with G-Suite (Gmail, Drive, Sheets, Forms, etc.)
  • Familiar with Graphic Design, but not required (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop)
  • Familiar with platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and local Westchester blogs
  • Any interest or experience in art education or museum education
