How you'll contribute
The Behavioral Health Intake Clinician is responsible for working with internal and external customers to identify patients appropriate for admission to the Behavioral Health Unit. The individual is responsible for con
Demonstrates flexibility, independence, and strong communication skills in a fast-paced hospital setting.
Provides compassionate care across all age groups experiencing mental health crises, while maintaining confidentiality and professional relationships.
Conducts comprehensive crisis assessments and presents clinical findings to medical staff.
Understands legal processes related to psychiatric admissions and is knowledgeable in DSM-V criteria and developmental stages.
Manages patient transfers, authorizations, and supports reviews, with availability to cover shifts as needed.
What we're looking for
Education :
Master's Degree in Social Work or other related field of study with experience in
Behavioral Health and Psychiatry pending State requirements.
Bachelor's / Associate degree in nursing pending State requirements.
Licenses / Certification :
Current independent practice scope licensure in state of practice, LMFT, LMFT-A LPC, LPC- A, LPCP, LCSW, LMSW, RN or LPN.
Experience :
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a psychiatric setting.
Experience in crisis counseling and crisis evaluations preferred.
