Job Spec

Mosaic is looking for a dynamic underwriter to join our team in the US to focus on US cyber and technology E&O. This is a rare opportunity to take a meaningful role in a market-leading team and further develop your career.

Responsibilities

  • Underwrite US cyber and cyber / tech open-market business
  • Analyze risk, setting pricing, and undertaking policy review

Negotiate with brokers on new and renewal business

Assist in helping set divisional strategy, including engagement in business-planning process

Develop business, including identifying new distribution, products and relationships

Build and manage relationships domestically and internationally, including brokers and cover-holders

Represent Mosaic in client meetings

Skills, Experience and Education

  • Ideally 4+ years experience in a combination of relevant roles, to include cyber underwriting or broking
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Highly focused, enthusiastic, and creative thinker
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in a prompt and professional manner
  • Ability to negotiate with sophisticated advisors and clients
  • Ability to be proactive, work independently, and make decisions
  • General knowledge of and ability to comprehend cyber and tech insurance products. Act as a representative of Mosaic by attending client meetings, broker engagements and industry events
  • Create a sales and marketing plan to identify new business opportunities

    The base salary offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors.The salary for a VP Underwriter position is $150,000 - $200,000. The salary for AVP is $115,000 - $160,000.
