Outside Market Development Executive – Enterprise and Mid-Market
The Enterprise Market Development Representative is a primarily outside sales role, responsible for opening new markets, creating opportunities, and building high‑value relationships that convert into long‑term partnerships. This role is not about transactional selling; it is about earning trust, leading prospects through uncertainty, and driving outcomes with relentless execution and discipline.
The Role
You’ll be the one out there planting flags for Howdy.com—shaking hands at events, starting conversations in unexpected places, turning strangers into warm introductions. Your mission is simple, but not easy : get the right people curious, get them leaning in, and get them to the table for a discovery call. You won’t close deals—you’ll open doors.
What You’ll Actually Do
- Live in the field. Network at tech, CTO, and Founder events, conferences, meetups, coffees, dinners—where builders, operators, and hiring decision makers gather.
- Build brand gravity. You’re not handing out cards; you’re leaving people thinking, “I need to know more about Howdy.com.”
- Qualify and move. Spot the real prospects, earn their trust, and hand them off to sales for deep discovery.
- Create momentum. Relentlessly feed the top of the funnel with a steady stream of quality opportunities.

2–5 years in mid‑market and enterprise business development, field marketing, sales development, or similar roles in the Bay Area tech ecosystem.Proven track record of generating pipeline through field networking, events, and outbound outreach.Strong communicator with presence—comfortable and at ease in rooms with founders, CEOs, CTOs, and other operators.CRM discipline (Salesforce) — you keep data clean, opportunities tight, and handoffs frictionless.Willing to travel to hubs, events, and conferences where the action is.Why Howdy
