They are now seeking a Vice President of Sales & Procurement to join their leadership team in Los Angeles and drive continued growth, efficiency, and innovation.
This is a high-impact leadership role that combines strategic oversight of both sales (13 team members) and procurement (5 buyers). The successful candidate will bring senior-level produce procurement expertise, proven success negotiating contracts with large shippers, and a data-driven approach to performance management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop the sales and procurement teams to achieve performance goals and business growth.
- Oversee procurement strategy, with a strong focus on produce purchasing and vendor relationship management.
- Negotiate contracts with large shippers, ensuring favorable terms and sustainable supply chain partnerships.
- Drive a data-centric culture, using KPIs to track, analyze, and continuously improve results across departments.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align sales and procurement strategies with overall company objectives.
- Foster a positive, high-performing work environment rooted in accountability, mentorship, and teamwork.
- Represent the company with professionalism and integrity when engaging with key partners and stakeholders.
Qualifications
10+ years of progressive leadership experience in produce procurement and sales, with proven team management responsibility.Strong contract negotiation experience with large shippers and vendors.Data-driven mindset with expertise in leveraging KPIs to drive decision-making and performance.Track record of leading high-performing teams and cultivating long-term customer and supplier relationships.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills with a collaborative approach.Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred (MBA a plus).Benefits
