Structural Engineer

Description

Our client, a leading architecture and planning company, is currently seeking an accomplished Structural Engineer to join the team. Here is an overview of the role:

1) Design the most appropriate structural systems within the clients, budget and time limitations coupled with the ability to work successfully in a multi-disciplined team environment on multiple projects

2) Work and communicate with all levels to provide high-quality, well-coordinated and technically proficient mechanical engineering design solutions for a variety of project assignments

3) Participate in project meetings during design and construction activities to represent the company and the preparation of graphic and written construction documents

4) Lead or self-direct site visits to evaluate various facility types during the assessment of the existing mechanical-plumbing infrastructure

5) Assess and take appropriate action to identify and solve problems during design or in the field during construction

6) Manage their projects through proper prioritization and scheduling of tasks

7) Follow construction safety guidelines

8) Comply with the company’s policies and procedures

9) Perform other duties as assigned

Critical Requirements

3) Recent experience in the architecture and planning industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in engineering
